They say that everything bad is good for something. In her case, this is doubly true. Maria was to become the wife of King Władysław IV. However, her beauty and ancestry did not help her and the Polish king married Cecilia of Habsburg. After Cecilia's death, Maria married Władysław IV. Issued by. Ludwika Maria died suddenly in Warsaw on 10. May 1667. John II. Casimir was unable to handle the heavy burden of the responsibility of Polish ruler alone, and a year later he abdicated the throne.
